A quick question about something I’m considering...
Howdy, and Happy Saturday!
(Don’t worry, I’ll be back again to harass you tomorrow as usual).
For today…
It occurred to me this week that I’ve been spouting off about baseball cards and baseball itself (at least on WaxPackGods.com) for a full ten years!!
I’m not sick of it yet, though, because those golden hobby days of the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and even the early 1990s were just different. Slower, simpler, but still parachute-pants exciting.
So, yeah, I’ll keep spouting nostalgia.
In fact, I’m kicking around the idea of building something a little more on-the-nose with all that nostalgia.
Not replacing anything here, though — the regular newsletters aren’t going anywhere.
I’m thinking along the lines of a private baseball card nostalgia club focused on the golden era of the hobby, maybe including stuff like:
Members-only deep-dive essays
Themed monthly series (revisiting a specific season, set, or moment)
A live monthly “fireside” (hot stove?) session
By-request article topics
A small private archive of premium pieces or ebooks
Before I start down that basepath, though…
Would something like that interest you?
If so, can you reply to this message and let me know? If not, well…see you tomorrow as usual.
As always, thanks for reading and being part of this grand hobby journey over the years.
